What does 'DE-GOOGLED' mean?
'De-Googled' means that the phone is:

Your Operating System - GrapheneOS
GrapheneOS is considered to be the gold standard of private and security focused mobile operating systems developed as an open source project. It's focused on the research and development of privacy and security technology including substantial improvements to sand-boxing, exploit mitigations and the permission model. GrapheneOS improves the privacy and security of the OS from the bottom up. It deploys technologies to mitigate whole classes of vulnerabilities and make exploiting the most common sources of vulnerabilities substantially more difficult. It improves the security of both the OS and the apps running on it.
No Google apps or services
GrapheneOS does not include, out of principle, either Google Play services or any other implementation of Google services like microG.
It's possible to install Play services as a set of fully sandboxed apps without special privileges via the Apps application if you find you require it.
Pre-installed Apps
The following apps are pre-installed on the phone:
- Aurora Store - An anonymous front-end to access Google Play store. Aurora Store will show you what trackers an app has before you download it and allows you to download apps without logging into Google.
- Droidify - Open source app store where you can find free and privacy respecting apps and also where you can update the apps that came installed on your device (Newpipe, Magic Earth etc).
- Ironfox Browser - This is a privacy orientated mobile web browser based on Mozilla technology installed with the 'uBlock Origin' adblocker.
- Signal Messenger - End to End encrypted messenger app for increased privacy.
- Shelter - Run 'Big Brother' app such as Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook etc inside the isolated profile so they cannot access your data outside your main profile. It also allows you to run 2 accounts on the same device.
- ProtonVPN - A totally free, multi-server VPN with good speeds from the trusted creators of Protonmail.
- Bitwarden - Open source, strictly private password manager which can be synced across devices.
- Magic Earth - Trusted and private GPS navigation alternative to Google Maps using Openstreetmap data.
- SlimSocial - Wrapper around Facebook's mobile website which respects your privacy by blocking Facebook's access to data on your phone.
- Squawker - An Open-Source privacy orientated X (twitter) client without trackers or ads.
- Jitsi Meet - Privacy respecting alternative to Zoom.
- Bravenewpipe - Youtube, but without the ads or trackers. This app can access any Youtube content without you being tracked or served ads. Also allows access to Bandcamp, Rumble, Bitchute and Soundcloud.

A note on the Shelter Work Profile App
The apps installed on the phone are all privacy respecting, tracker-less and without advertisements.
However, if you find you can't be without apps like Whatsapp, Facebook etc, you can use the ‘Work Profile' already set-up on your phone and the Aurora Store to install these apps.
This will keep these apps in their own little box, unable to see what you are doing in your personal profile. Install ‘Big Brother' apps here.
